BBC Newsnight tonight featured a segment from the St Austell
and Newquay seat. It had been recorded in April.
It included content relating to Cornish nationalism and the
strength of the Liberal Democrats. Kernow King was interviewed and film of the
Gorsedh proclamation in St Austell was included. In spite of the content, MK did not even merit a mention
– even though Conservative, Lib Dem and UKIP did!
What really upsets me is that I had been contacted to take
part through my position as leader of Mebyon Kernow, but I was dropped. They stated
that they had decided not to feature any politicians, but just a selection of
local people.
And then tonight, the film was followed by a discussion with a
prominent Liberal Democrat politician.
You couldn't make it up.
